Planet Nalzena World Map

holy damn this thing looks SICK!:happybounce:  I decided to give a 3rd try of Planet Nalzena's world map... the reason why I wanted to redo the map is because the previous two maps lacked... like the first one's geology was out of whack according to some people... and the 2nd one lacked in planning to the point I dont know where to start when I was converting it to a Minecraft map via Minecraft WorldPainter...
THIS ONE has good planning of where the forests, mountains, the deep sea trench and a variety of islands to play with... and  yes I did continue to bring the floating island concept! its the 'scattered landmass' thats located east of the left green continent...

I just hope this is plenty of room for my OCs to live in... plenty of lush green areas.. icy areas for those that wield the Ice element... volcanoes for purpose of Fire people and so much more...
I didn't put a sandy desert because apparently not all worlds have a sandy desert... perhaps their planet is in the 'Goldilocks zone' like planet Earth... but a little further away from their mother star... (btw I dont have a name for their mother star... and their Moon... their Moon is a lavender purple if anyone has any name suggestions for their star and Moon let me know)

I'm also proud of the colours I used they're cartoony... but not too bright which you'd expect from cartoon style... I was doing a heightmap first (for the future when I eventually convert this map in to a Minecraft map via Minecraft WorldPainter) and after I made copies of the heightmap and used the colorize option to add colour to the ocean, rivers and continents.

so anyways I give credit to two people for some custom brushes I used for the icons on the map (the mountains, trees, compass etc.)

Brandon S. Pilcher's Diverse Map Icons by TyrannoNinja for the brushes to create mountains, volcanoes, trees and hills... there's a variety of trees that I needed for the map... (however I kind of added some 'mangrove roots' to some of the jungle trees as I couldnt find any mangrove tree brushes... and I added the smoke on the volcanoes since my sketched version of the maps had smoke on the volcanoes and mangrove trees)

20 Compass Rose brushes by purplefeen for the brushes to create the compass for the map! the other 19 compass brushes that this set comes with look so good... there's so many to choose from I almost got stuck for choice!

Oh and because I was using GIMP and these brushes were apparently for Photoshop... I want to thank this tutorial video for showing me how to install the Photoshop brushes for GIMP... the tutorial is for GIMP 2.6 however it works for GIMP 2.8 which is what version I am using!
